Brief Facts:12/13/2018 - Loss of engine power in flight, forced landing onto residential street, impact with a telephone pole, street sign pole and chain link fence.

General Description of Damage:FUSELAGE: 1. The lower belly structure spanning nose to aft cabin is wrinkled and deformed. Close up photos could not be gained as the aircraft laid on the ground. 2. The lower left and right side fuselage structure above and below the wing root is wrinkled and deformed spanning nose to aft cabin. 3. The fuselage structure is suspected to be deformed and/or broken where the landing gear assemblies attach. 4. The lower engine cowling is abraded and crushed. 5. The cabin entry canopy is not able to be securely closed indicating deformation of the fuselage symmetry. 6. The fuselage to left and right-wing support structure will need to be inspected for post impact damage. LEFT WING: 1. Crushed by impact with a street sign pole tearing a large gouge inboard of the wingtip approximately 32” wide by 26” deep. 2. Crushed and torn structure outboard of the wing root due to the landing gear collapse and impact with the ground. 3. The wing structure is wrinkled and deformed throughout. RIGHT WING: 1. Crushed and destroyed due to impact with the telephone pole. LEFT LANDING GEAR: 1. The strut is bent outboard and broken due to impact with the ground. 2. Impact damage to the wheel skirt, brake assembly, hydraulic brake line, wheel and tire ensued. RIGHT LANDING GEAR: 1. The strut is bent outboard and broken due to impact with the ground. 2. Impact damage to the brake assembly, hydraulic brake line, wheel and tire ensued. NOSE LANDING GEAR: 1. The strut is bent to the right side and rearward due to impact with the ground. 2. Impact damage to the wheel skirt, wheel and tire ensued. PROPELLER: 1. One of the three propeller blades is broken mid span. The other two propeller blades are badly abraded. 2. The propeller spinner is cracked/broken. ENGINE: 1. Removal of the engine is necessary for inspection and repair as necessary for propeller strike.
