1990



Lu Lemanski and Mike Mckeeman, formally of Lloyd’s Aviation Department, join the Robins Davies Group to create Robins Davies Aviation Ltd, with the aim of providing the aviation insurance market with greater choice and a cost effective claims management solution to the aviation surveying and adjusting market.
1991

Strategic relationship established with Ian Foord & Associates in Mexico in order to handle increasing civilian, government and military business in Central and South America.
1992
Name changed to Robins Aviation Ltd to reflect Group restructuring.
1995

Company becomes GAB Robins Aviation Ltd to reflect Group merger with US-based General Adjusting Bureau (GAB).
1998

London office moved to current Great St. Helens headquarters to accommodate rapid growth in operations following business success.
International Hull office established in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to handle new business and airline accounts in the Americas.
1998- 2008
Resident agents established in France, India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia and South Africa hugely increasing the global surveying coverage and capabilities.
2006

Trevor Light joins GAB becoming CEO and shareholder and initiates program of accelerated expansion of global business and growth.
2007
Creation of Singapore subsidiary to provide claims management in the APAC region.
2008


Acquirement of business to handle aviation claims on behalf of Houston Casualty Company throughout North America with addition of 10 new offices across the US creating the largest aviation surveying presence in the US.
Office established in Germany to handle increasing business in German-speaking Europe.
Agreement with QBE Europe to incorporate their Scandinavian aviation surveying operations, resulting in GABRA opening new offices in Denmark and Norway and creation of GAB Robins Aviation ApS.
2009

Full ownership of GAB Robins UK purchased by senior management creating independence from the GAB Robins group.
Addition of agents in Greece and Brazil.
2010

Operational disengagement from GAB Robins North America. Creation of Aviation Light Services Corporation (Aviation LS) as independent subsidiary company to handle US domestic business.
Strategic partnership established in Peru.
Cooperation agreement established with Airdjusting in France, extending capabilities in Francophone regions.
 2015 GAB Robins Aviation purchased by Crawford & Company along with the GAB Robins group of companies.
 2016 GAB Robins Aviation Ltd converted to Crawford Aviation Ltd, completing the addition to Crawford & Company
